On this weeks episode I share with all of you this great new book I discovered, its called You can be Happy no Matter What By:Richard Carlson. It was a different type of book but it was very helpful. It was all about thought control, and exercises to help you do that. Which was just what I needed because I was working really hard to get my mind around this separation. Here is a link to the book https://www.amazon.com/You-Can-Happy-Matter-What/dp/B01K3MSKKG/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2XRUDX9MG2OV2&dchild=1&keywords=you+can+be+happy+no+matter+what&qid=1594320300&sprefix=you+can+be+h%2Caps%2C177&sr=8-3 I would love to chat with you more about your journey, consider joining my facebook group "Heavy Pages Podcast: Separation and Divorce Community”. ![]() This is a long journal entry with a bit of a self help exercise included. After seeing the Ex I was back to feeling down in the dumps. I realized that I could not tell the difference between myself and my marriage. Which was bad news since it looked like my marriage was over. So I decided to make a list for things I needed to do improve about myself and help find myself. Tune in to see how I did? I was on a tangent and really just...ok I have NO excuse lol In this episode I review the movie First Wives Club. I talk about how it hold up over time. If the movie does justice to divorce and being a first wife (and though I do not mention it in the episode, I will say I am not a first wife, cause as of this episode publishing my ex has not remarried.) This is a fun movie, with some (eventually) empowered women. Some juicy pay back and a great show of friendship. Its worth watching even now, and if you are far enough from the divorce process you can really enjoy it. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116313/ Thanks again for listening, if you have not subscribed or rated 5 star ;). Please consider doing so. Also you can write to me from the contact tab, I would love to hear from you! -Josie ![]() In this episode we get an answer to a question that has been floating in a few of these journal entries. I brag a little about my therapist that I really bonded with who I continued to see for years and years after. I share my thoughts on some of the insights the Therapist shared during this session. I also talk about WHY I am willing to BEG, are you willing to beg? Maybe that’s where you draw the line…and that’s ok. I would love to hear your thought on the subject.
